Terms of Service

Last updated: June 2025

1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using CommitHire (“the Platform”, “we”, “us”), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, please do not use the Platform.

2. Who We Are

CommitHire is a job-matching platform designed to eliminate ghosting and bring transparency to hiring. We connect job seekers and employers under a mutual commitment standard: disclosed salaries, defined interview processes, and guaranteed feedback at every stage.

3. Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old to use CommitHire. By registering, you confirm that all information you provide is accurate and that you have the legal capacity to enter into a binding agreement.

4. Accounts

You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activity under your account. Notify us immediately at support@vigya.app if you suspect unauthorised access. We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms.

5. Job Seeker Terms

  • CommitHire is free for job seekers.
  • When you apply for a role, you commit to a salary expectation and notice period. These commitments are shared with the employer and form part of the application.
  • You may not submit duplicate applications to the same active listing.
  • Evidence uploaded to your Evidence Vault must be genuine. Submitting fraudulent credentials is grounds for immediate account termination and may be reported to relevant parties.
  • You may withdraw an application at any time before an offer is made; however, doing so removes you from that listing permanently.

6. Employer Terms

  • All job listings must comply with the CommitHire Standard: a disclosed salary band, at least one defined interview stage, and at least one key requirement.
  • Listings may not misrepresent the role, company, compensation, or working conditions. Fraudulent listings will be removed and the account suspended.
  • Employers must record a result (pass or fail) for all candidates at a stage before advancing any candidate. This is enforced at the platform level.
  • Listings automatically expire after 60 days. A single 30-day extension is permitted.
  • When a role is filled, the employer must mark it as such via the dashboard. All remaining applicants are then notified automatically.

7. Prohibited Conduct

You agree not to:

  • Post false, misleading, or discriminatory content.
  • Scrape, crawl, or use automated tools to extract data from the Platform.
  • Attempt to gain unauthorised access to any part of the Platform or other users’ data.
  • Use the Platform to harass, spam, or deceive other users.
  • Circumvent any feature designed to protect job seekers from ghosting or exploitation.

8. Intellectual Property

All content, branding, and technology on the Platform is owned by CommitHire or its licensors. You retain ownership of content you upload (CVs, evidence, job descriptions), but grant CommitHire a limited licence to display and process that content solely to operate the Platform.

9. Limitation of Liability

CommitHire facilitates connections between job seekers and employers but is not a party to any employment relationship or contract arising from those connections. We are not liable for:

  • The accuracy of listings or candidate profiles.
  • Any loss arising from a failed or withdrawn application.
  • Actions or omissions of employers or candidates on the Platform.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, our total liability to you shall not exceed the fees you have paid to CommitHire in the 12 months preceding the claim.

10. Privacy

Your use of the Platform is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which explains how we collect, use, and protect your data.

11. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify registered users of material changes by email. Continued use of the Platform after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.

12. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
